Hennepin County - Human Services and Public Health Hennepin County Public Health department is hiring an Early Childhood (EC) Program Coordinator to develop and manage strategies to increase access and connection to early childhoo... d services for residents of Hennepin County. This position will coordinate across Hennepin County Human Services and Public Health on early childhood initiatives such as Child Well-Being, as well as, develop and maintain partnerships with state agencies such as Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) and Department of Human Services (DHS) to implement broad early childhood strategies at the county level. The EC Program Coordinator will be housed in Maternal and Child Health (MCH) unit within the Public Health Department. The MCH unit administers programs and initiatives that focus on prevention, early intervention, disparity reduction and systems coordination to improve outcomes for children, adolescents, and pregnant and parenting adults.

Aides have no perquisites for the position. However, you must be willing to get CPR and First Aid Certified along with taking some early childhood training with us. We also ask the applicants be kind, patient, flexible, and have the ability to multitask as it can be very busy in toddler rooms! Dependability is a must in this field as the children learn to grow and love their caregivers and when we don't show up it really puts a wrinkle in their days!
We have been growing a wonderful team within our company and are looking for the right candidate to add to it! This specific classroom has an amazing atmosphere and the person who will join it will be lucky indeed. Candidate must be a team player, have a wonderful, positive attitude, and work well with toddlers, coworkers, and parents!

Aides start at $13.00/hour and have minimal prerequisites for education and experience. Assistants start at $14.50/hour and must meet the requirements for a teaching assistant under MN Rule 3. Those requirements under rule 3 are: candidates must have 2,080 hours experience with 8 appropriate semester college credits, or 1040 experience hours with two years postsecondary education. Assistants are expected to assist teachers with all aspects of the classroom working with their lead teacher. We have a wonderful team of staff and are looking for someone to complete it.
