Training Coordinator
Oregon AIDS Education & Training Center
The Oregon AIDS Education and Training Center (a regional partner of the Mountain West AETC) delivers innovative, evidence-based education and training programs to improve access to care and quality of life for people living with or who have the potential for acquiring HIV. As a member of the Oregon AETC administrative team, the Training Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and handling day-to-day activities for AETC programs in Oregon and SW Washington that align with Oregon's End HIV initiative. The primary aims of Oregon's End HIV initiative are: Testing is Easy, Prevention Works, and Treatment Saves Lives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement healthcare provider and agency HIV related training in Oregon and Southern Washington

Document training activities and outcomes

Coordinate large conferences & workshops based on HIV educational needs assessments

CONTINUING EDUCATION COORDINATOR
Washington AIDS Education & Training Center
The Central and Eastern Washington Continuing Education Coordinator will support the Mountain West AIDS Education and Training Center (MWAETC) Washington Continuing Education Coordinator to coordinate the development and implementation of needs-based HIV training and capacity-building programs in Central and Eastern Washington State. The target audience includes clinical providers in programs funded through the Ryan White Program; other HRSA programs such as Rural and Community Health Centers; other federally supported health care facilities such as Indian Health Service and Veterans Administration; other providers serving minority, medically underserved or incarcerated populations; private practice providers serving people with HIV; clinical and non-clinical providers funded by the Washington State Department of Health; and providers serving populations at increased risk for acquiring HIV. The Eastern Washington Continuing Education Coordinator plays an important role in helping to coordinate program evaluation activities as well as implement quality improvement practices in cooperation with the MWAETC Evaluator and National AETC Evaluation Center.
