Examples of current public engagement strategies include delivering nature walks to find bats, gardening with plants that attract insects that bats eat, and piloting citizen science bat acoustic surveys.
Most notably, this person in this role will: Support BCI’s delivery of existing strategies to engage public participation in bat conservation activities, including communicating with our bat ambassadors volunteer network, facilitating training opportunities for bat walks, collaborating with partners to expand bat garden implementation, and supporting the development of additional backyard bat survey pilot projects.
