• A valid New Jersey EMT Certification (NREMT is accepted pending NJOEMS application)
• A valid American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for Healthcare Providers
certification.
• Incident Command ICS I-100.c, I-200, NIMS IS-700.b, and IS-800.d
• Hazmat Awareness certificate.
• A current valid driver’s license with unrestricted NJ motor vehicle driving privileges with the ability to be approved as a driver with the township insurance vendor.
• Candidates must be up to date with all internal training requirements and recurrency objectives.
• Completion of in-house ASHE training within 30 days. (TECC preferred)
• Two (2) years EMS emergency driving experience preferred with completion of a CEVO (3 or 4)
driver-training program.
• Two (2) years of active 9-1-1 EMS experience is preferred.
• Candidates must meet physical demand and environmental conditions requirements established by the U.S. Department of Labor Manpower Administration for DOT Title Code
079.010 - Emergency Medical Technician-Basic.
