Refugee Case Manager

Refugee Council USA RCUSA is looking for a highly motivated and team-oriented Program Associate to provide support for projects, partnerships, committees, advocacy, communications, and member engagement. The Program Associate will engage with a broad range of members, partners, and other stakeholders including non-profits and government agencies. The Staff Attorney will carry their own caseload under the supervision of the Immigration Program Manager. The Staff Attorney will assist with community education, technical assistance, and advocacy on matters impacting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking. Policy Manager--Detention and Deportation
California Immigrant Policy Center The Detention and Deportation (D+D) Policy Manager is responsible for spearheading CIPC’s efforts to end unjust criminalization, detentions and deportations on the local, state, and federal levels. The D+D Manager works in close partnership with the other Policy teams as well as the Government Affairs, Organizing, and Communications departments to guide development of the detention and deportation portfolio at CIPC.
The D+D Manager leads our detention and deportation work through tracking proposed legislation and regulatory developments, and monitoring implementation of legislation and programs that impact immigrants in California. The D+D Manager is also responsible for tracking and monitoring local and regional entanglements between law enforcement agencies and federal immigration authorities, and developing CIPC’s strategies to effectively push back on the entanglements. The D+D Manager develops and manages diverse coalitions statewide. The D+D Manager will also explore and recommend areas of work in line with CIPC’s focus on racial justice, economic justice, and power building.
This Policy Manager is part of CIPC’s leadership team and reports directly to the Policy Director. This position can be based in any CIPC office throughout the state (Los Angeles, Oakland, or Sacramento). Remote employment will be considered for the right applicant. California Immigrant Policy Center California Immigrant Policy Center (CIPC) seeks a Messaging and Engagement Strategist or Senior Messaging and Engagement Strategist (title commensurate with experience) to help immigrant rights leaders put rigorous messaging research into practice for big impacts over the long run. California Immigrant Policy Center CIPC is seeking either a Legislative Advocate or Senior Legislative Advocate commensurate with experience. This position will monitor and advocate for a wide range of immigrant-related policies including health, economic justice, detention and deportation. The Legislative Advocate coordinates CIPC’s legislative, administrative, and budgetary advocacy while reporting directly to the Government Affairs Director. Discretion and confidentiality of CIPC’s process and work details is expected at all times.
