Our organization is responsible for managing 28 nature preserves in and around Charlotte, North Carolina. Management includes invasive removal, prescribed burns, wildlife management, and various forms of monitoring. The vacant position is for a GIS expert that can help with strategic planning and GIS technology development and management. In short, this position will work with ANHC staff, partners, and contractors to manage 78 Natural Areas across Arkansas. This position spends most of their time in the field working on stewardship tasks including, but not limited to: invasive species management, prescribed fire, and boundary posting. There are some office duties, so knowledge of common computer software like Microsoft products and ArcMap is prefered.
Natural Heritage Conservation Planner
Pennsylvania Natural Heritage Program/Western Pennsylvania Conservancy The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy has a full-time opening for a Natural Heritage Conservation Planner. The Natural Heritage Conservation Planner will focus on the interpretation and provision of ecological information, with heavy reliance on GIS mapping and analysis, for use in planning at state and municipal levels as well as for conservation organizations and state agencies. An essential function of the position is the development and maintenance of Natural Heritage Areas (NHAs) as a primary PNHP planning product.

NatureServe NatureServe is currently recruiting a talented, motivated, and entrepreneurial professional to join our growing development team. This is a new position and one we envision to be a key ingredient in unlocking our success in building new and sustainable philanthropic support.
This individual will assist in the development and implementation of our strategy for a comprehensive core and mid-level donor engagement program. The Manager will be responsible for building a robust pipeline of new donors, cultivating and retaining current donors and re-engaging lapsed donors. The Manager will leverage their creative ideas and persuasive writing skills to craft campaigns that trigger engagement and action.
The Manager will also build and manage a diversified roster of giving options including online fundraising (peer-to-peer, DIY, streaming) and “other ways to give” (3rd party fundraisers, Amazon Smile, Stocks, QCDs, etc.). The Manager will use their experience in implementing digital-first fundraising and engagement.
The position reports to the Chief Advancement Officer and will work in close collaboration with other philanthropy and communication team members.
