As-needed biologist

We are currently seeking an As-Needed, qualified biologist holding an appropiate permit under Section 10(a)(1)(A) of the Endangered Species Act to conduct Casey’s June beetle surveys. The qualified biologist will join our southern California biological resources team in conducting a Casey’s June beetle (Dinacoma caseyi) habitat assessment, protocol-level focused presence/absence surveys, and to prepare environmental documents per permit conditions. We are particularly interested in someone with experience with Casey’s June Beetles (e.g., protocol-level surveys) as well as someone with general field and documentation experience and/or an interest in learning these professional skills. This position will be based out of our La Quinta office.

As-needed biologist

We are currently seeking an As-Needed, entry-level (1-5 year experience) Biologist to join our northern California biological resources team in conducting a variety of field surveys and assessments and to prepare biological reports and contribute to biological resource sections of environmental documents. We are particularly interested in someone who has wildlife field surveys and related documentation experience. In particular, experience with special-status birds including Swainson’s hawk, Golden eagle, Bald eagle, Burrowing owl, and Tri-colored blackbird are desirable. We recognize that the successful candidate may not possess all of these skills/interests. Project work can occur throughout northern and central California. This position may be based out of our Auburn, Sacramento, Oakland, Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara, or Bakersfield, California offices.
