First Methodist Church of Ardmore is excited to announce an opening for a Youth Ministry Director! We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to lead and inspire our middle and high school students in their faith journey. Role Overview:
In this role, you will:
Develop and lead engaging youth programs, including Sunday school, Wednesday activities, and Sunday night gatherings.
Organize and coordinate retreats, camps, and mission trips.
Oversee the Confirmation process and help integrate students into our church community.
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers, and handle the youth ministry budget.
Collaborate closely with the Family Ministry Director and our parent advisory board to ensure a thriving youth ministry.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development: Create and lead engaging programs for our youth.
Event Coordination: Organize retreats, camps, and mission trips.
Confirmation Oversight: Manage the Confirmation process and student integration.
Volunteer Management: Recruit and train volunteers, and manage the ministry budget.
Qualifications:
Strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
Knowledge of the Global Methodist Church’s theology and programs.
Excellent communication, relational, and teaching skills.
A college degree and experience in youth ministry are preferred.
Character Traits:
A deep love for God and a desire to serve the congregation.
Ability to connect with students and parents, and work well with church staff.
Motivated, reliable, and a strong communicator of the Good News.

Minimum Qualifications
• A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and lives in such a manner that glorifies Christ in his/her daily behavior and speech.
• Commitment to moral purity.
• Lives a lifestyle that is consistent with the Holy Scriptures, doctrines, teachings, and values of The Global Methodist Church.
• Commitment to the local church’s mission and vision and values.
• Loves Jesus, Children, and the Church.
• Prefer a bachelor’s degree with background in Christian Education or the equivalent. But not necessary if the best candidate comes without.
