The Tangletown Gardens Garden Center Associate is a seasonal position that will focus on assisting with the daily operations of the store. Tasks vary daily and will be centered on the sale and maintenance of product at the garden center. This role is seasonal and typically lasts through the Fall season, however, available hours are dependent on the demands of the garden center. Key sales lead for garden center products

CARE:

Manages the daily horticultural operations to Tangletown’s level of excellence with a focus on sustainability

Educate and train seasonal staff to assist with the watering, care, and general knowledge of plant product

Performs regular inspections throughout the gardens and facilitates necessary action. Routine inspections may identify insect/disease problems, weed control needs, etc.

Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly, up to 70 pounds occasionally, throughout the workday.

Must be able to perform strenuous physical work outside year-round, sometimes under unfavorable weather conditions 

Ability to interact in an appropriate and professional manner with the general public and staff

Strong communication skills
