Applicator Apprentice
LUNSETH No experience necessary. Applicator apprentice must be able to speak and read English due to Department of Agriculture requirements on reading pesticide labels. They will contribu... te in other areas of the company as needed. Higher end of the pay range will be given depending on relevant manual labor experience, people with driver’s licenses and being bi-lingual (Spanish and English) and people with pesticide license. Willing to show interest in improving quality. May possess other qualities relevant to our work that add value. Must be able to take direction without complaint, work long hours when needed (12-14 hours) and lift 50lbs repeatedly. Must be available on weekends when necessary.
Main tasks include aiding Applicator in all tasks of applying fertilizer and weed control products. Spreading seed, aerating (both push and ride on), edging and any other tasks as requested by the Applicator as well as other tasks relevant to lawn care, landscaping and snow removal. Entering all materials and job times into software system. Being alert while en route to the next job and helping the Applicator with navigation.
Secondary tasks include studying for and passing pesticide certification exam, learning to drive a truck and trailer. Understanding the organic process and being able to speak about it with customers. Learning to become an applicator.

Job Duties
The Seasonal Environmental Technician will provide our government, utility, commercial and not-for-profit clients with the services and solutions needed to efficiently and effectively manage natural resources, comply with policies and obtain regulatory permits. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Understanding the contract needs and specifications of clients and their customers and develop appropriate solutions. Inspect a wide range of habitats, both natural and disturbed, and assess their condition, health and functionality according to client specifications. Identify local species, understand their typical characteristics and recognize common diseases and pests

Education and Qualifications:
An individual must be able to perform each essential job duty consistently and satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Two to four year degree in Biology, Botany, Ecology, Forestry, Horticulture, Hydrology, Soil Science, Zoology or related discipline or equivalent experience in a similar position. Driver’s license and clean driving record are required, a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) may be required by project. Natural resource consulting experience preferred.
Additional Information Hours: 40-50 hours per week, Monday-Friday with some Saturdays optional. Starting hourly wage: $19 - $22 per hour based on experience. Temporary employment spring/summer/fall 2025.

Dispatch and Sales Support- Wholesale
Bachman’s Position Duties:
-Schedule and coordinate all outgoing wholesale nursery deliveries.
-Help facilitate the freight needs of multiple departments throughout the compa... ny.
-Work with many freight vendors simultaneously and work with internal/external delivery services to ensure timely arrival at the best possible rates.
-Work with customers and internal/external delivery services to achieve best possible customer satisfaction, including follow-up phone calls to customers just receiving deliveries.
-Work with numerous teams within Nursery Wholesale (Sales, Fulfillment, Office Support) to efficiently execute customer delivery orders.
-Assist sales team in organizational support needs including, but not limited to; customer order creation, local inbound communication, future load scheduling recommendations, spring field direct coordination, marketing, and managing customer service concerns.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-Previous hospitality, retail, or green industry skills preferred.
-Excellent working knowledge of landscape plant materials preferred.
-Good organizational skills are essential.
-Good communication and customer contact skills required.
-Must have good interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and a demonstrated ability to work as a team player.

-Assemble and load internal and external customers order with product that meets the customer and Bachman’s expectations. Operate nursery equipment including skid loaders, forklifts, flattops, etc. as needed. Recognize and perform maintenance and repair on nursery equipment, irrigations systems, and facilities.
-Perform pest control duties to include chemical pesticide applications for insects and disease. Follow all safety precautions and procedures. Maintain accurate records of applications.
-Direct and/or perform all cultural practices including: irrigation, trimming, fertilizing, spacing, heeling, product restocking, weeding, winterizing and others as directed.
-Maintain accurate records and complete paperwork in a neat and timely manner as directed.
-Perform all duties including those of lower classifications, in an efficient and safe manner.
-Assist in other areas as directed.
Qualifications:
-3 years experience in a nursery/landscape production setting
-Minimum 1 year experience in a leadership position.
-Must be able to operate a variety of nursery equipment.
-Must be willing to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis and 100lbs on an occasional basis.
-Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions year round.
-Job requires periods of standing/bending for extended amounts of time.

-Direct and perform customer service and sales for Hardscape... s customers including both retail and wholesale. This will include hardscapes design, product needs, estimating, product selections, invoicing, follow up, coordination of returns, and delivery coordination.
-Receive, book and acknowledge called-in orders.
-Perform clerical support duties and record keeping for Hardscapes Sales, service and purchasing.
-Visit job sites to help with customer questions, issues or training.
-Represent Bachman’s Hardscapes at Trade Shows and other promoting services.
-Perform other duties as directed.
