Project Wastewater Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

· Field work related to wastewater system engineering.
· Project coordination with various support departments such as Structural, Civil and MEP.

Education and Qualifications:
· 5+ years of wastewater engineering experience in the consulting field.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Revit and BIM.
· Experience with BioWin a plus.
· Excellent client relations and technical writing skills.
· FE/EIT required, PE highly desired.

Essential Project Management Duties:

Water Resources Associate

As a part of our Environmental and Water Resources team, the Water Resources Associate works under the direction of a Civil Engineer and/or Project Manager on drainage design for both civil roadway design projects such as roads, bridges, and airports as well as stand-alone roadway and riverine flood control projects. You will leverage your engineering knowledge and skills to assist in the preparation of basic studies, construction documents, drawing, maps, reposts and supporting documentation and calculations. Depending on your experience, you will use CAD techniques as well as other specific drainage software packages to prepare construction documents. 

Most days will be spent in the office preparing basic studies, construction documents, drawings, maps, reports and supporting documentation and calculations as well as coordinating with technicians to ensure timely and accurate document or drawing preparation.

On some days, you will make field visits to project sites to investigate, record, and photograph local conditions.

You will also assist with document preparation for regulatory agencies to obtain required permits.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS 

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, and 2 - 5 years of related experience with hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) models such as HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS.

EIT/FE certification

Demonstrate a basic understanding of storm water management and principles of hydrology and hydraulics of storm water runoff.

Naturally, you’ll need excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office), with the ability to utilize CAD software like AutoCAD and MicroStation; Esri ArcGIS software; and H&H modeling software such as Hydraflow, PondPack and HEC-RAS.

Excellent English language skills, written and verbal, are essential to long term success in this role.
