The Financial Aid Director is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the financial aid program for students at the University. This position is responsible for the planning, implementation, and administration of financial aid policies and procedures, as well as compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations, aimed at promoting access to higher education as part of the University’s mission statement and strategic goals.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
• REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree. Excellent oral and written communication skills and proficient computer skills. Experience in successful program development, a commitment to diversity and demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations. Excellent leadership/management and customer service skills. Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends, as needed.

• PREFERRED: Master’s Degree. Experience using Colleague Self Service. 5 years’ experience in higher education including financial aid and enrollment processes. Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs

Job Summary:
• Through in-person contact, telephone, and email communication, provide information to prospective and continuing students regarding applying for financial assistance and the availability of federal, state and institutional aid.
• Use professional judgment in determining whether student has unusual circumstances that would affect financial aid eligibility. Work with the student and parents to ensure all documentation requirements are met.

Responsible for student information system analysis, development, and support for the Banner ERP system as it relates to financial aid administration. Includes testing of Banner and upgrades and working with functional owners on design specifications as well as modifications to existing functionality.

Complete bi-directional secure daily file transfers between TCC, Federal Student Aid, and the Oklahoma State Regents.

Complete and submit generated reports to Federal and State agencies.

Ensure compliance with data security laws, GBLA, Privacy Act, FERPA, HEA by maintaining and updating Banner access control lists to sensitive PII data.

Ensure data integrity by identifying data issues and working with various college departments to continually improve data accuracy.

Troubleshoot and solve issues as part of constant improvement.
