Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Real Time Supervisor oversees the real-time Commercial operations, and manages Real-Time Energy Manager Group, including all administrative and HR aspects.

This role is accountable for developing, rationalizing, and executing (via Energy Managers) the near-term commercial strategy with respect to both electricity and gas market aspects of the Atura Power fleet.

This position supervises and coordinates all operational processes related to the above functions, as well as the development, maintenance and adherence to an operational framework governing those processes.

The Market Renewal Program (MRP) is about improving the way electricity is priced, scheduled and procured in order to meet Ontario’s current and future energy needs reliably, transparently, efficiently and at lowest cost. The program will lead an evolution of the IESO Administered Markets that will be critical to the long-term ability of the organization to deliver on it’s mandate. This evolution will require fundamental changes to the IESO’s tools, processes, Market Rules, and resourcing, as well significant effort to ensure our internal and external stakeholders understand and are prepared for the change.

The Energy Implementation supervisors, for their respective areas of responsibility, will lead the translation of the established MRP design into enduring changes within the IESO’s tools and processes.
