The Oklahoma Catalyst Programs Director will lead the day to day operations for the Tom Love Innovation Hub’s Oklahoma Catalyst Programs. This position is a key member of the Innovation Hub staff, working closely with the Executive Director and other members of Innovation Hub leadership. The Oklahoma Catalyst Programs Director will lead all efforts focused on the collaboration, training, mentoring, and commercialization to improve Oklahoma’s performance in the SBIR/STTR program. Online Adjunct Faculty | Biomimetic Design

Part-Time Fully Online Teaching Position

The Minneapolis College of Art and Design seeks applicants for a part-time Adjunct Faculty in the fully online Master of Arts in Sustainable Design (MASD) program. This position is for an instructor to teach the elective course Biomimetic Design. This course will be taught in Fall 2021 and again in future semesters on a rotating basis. This is a fully online and asynchronous teaching position that is expected to take approximately 10 hours per week for each of the 15 weeks of the semester. The successful candidate will be welcomed into the MASD community, and may have the opportunity to be a thesis advisor and committee member.

Biomimetic Design Course Description:
In this course students learn how to abstract functional strategies from nature to apply to the process of innovative design. This project-oriented studio course covers core biological principles, astounds students with the wealth of design solutions available in nature, and provides numerous case studies of innovative designs inspired by natural models. Overall, this course provides powerful metaphors and methods for looking to nature as model, mentor, and measure in our designs.
