As a Senior Data Systems Specialist at VentureWell you will create resources to help mission driven leaders visualize their impact in addressing the world’s most intractable challenges related to entrepreneurship and innovation in technology and sciences. We are looking for a colleague who is energized by empowering teams to share the “big picture” of their outcomes by wearing a consultative hat and guiding them through structuring and managing their data to enable using data for meaning making.

You also enjoy establishing metrics, stewarding data, and continuing to stay abreast of the latest in data science. Our new Senior Data Systems Specialist will report to our Director of Data Systems.

Development Officer - Federal Grants and Contracts Administration

VentureWell’s development team works closely with organizational leadership, program staff, and other supporting departments to enable VentureWell’s growth. VentureWell is funded through grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts from private foundations and government agencies, along with corporate sponsorships, partnerships, and gifts. As a result, our development work involves research, cultivation, proposal development, program design, and reporting across multiple program areas, most of which is accomplished through deep collaboration with colleagues.
The Development Officer - Federal Grants and Contracts Administration will focus on the administration of grants and contracts with federal agencies, playing an important role in achieving VentureWell’s goals. Key responsibilities will include proposal coordination, grant reporting, research on funding opportunities, and overall award project management. A collaborative approach, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and exceptional interpersonal skills are essential.

Federal Partnership Development Opportunities

Our development team is expanding, and we are looking for relationship builders and proposal wizards to help us secure federal funding for new and existing programs at VentureWell. Our new hires will get the opportunity to work on the renewal and expansion of our work with several agencies including the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Energy, and the Department of State. Our needs include:

Vice President, Enterprise and Shared Services

The Vice President, Enterprise and Shared Services will lead the organization's work across key operational areas. The successful candidate will manage a team of senior functional experts to deliver internal solutions, infrastructure, and program support. The department leads this role will manage include: Marketing & External Communications, Learning & Evaluation, Information & Security Systems, Data Systems, and Portfolio & Project Management.
The VP, Enterprise and Shared Services is a new position at VentureWell, and will be leading operational and functional leaders to co-create program delivery support and infrastructure solutions that maximize constituent impact, scale resource allocation to solve capacity constraints, and minimize organizational risk. As VentureWell has grown over the last couple of years, we have observed increasing levels of complexity in our work and sophistication required in the collaboration across the teams providing a set of shared services at the enterprise-wide and programmatic delivery levels - this new position is designed to lead this group of shared services in new ways of delivering excellence to all parts of VentureWell’s work internally and externally on behalf of constituents.
This role will report to the CEO & President and, in addition to being an active leader within the Executive Team, will also engage on a regular basis with VentureWell’s Board of Directors. Senior Program Officer, Biomedical Engineering

VentureWell is growing and has an exciting opportunity to hire a Senior Program Officer to work with existing and new programs. Candidates must bring domain experience in fields related to VentureWell program areas, such as biomedical engineering, diagnostic and medical device development and commercialization, science and technology innovation, entrepreneurship, or related fields. We also seek staff who bring experience (work or lived) with groups identifying as marginalized by racism, sexism, or classism.
The ideal candidate for this role has experience in diagnostic and/or medical device design, development, or commercialization and is an experienced outward-facing relationship manager. The person in this role will take a programmatic leadership position in one or more of VentureWell’s Commercialization Support Services programs and will also support strategic development and pursuit of new opportunities leveraging our work as an infrastructure support partner for NIH on the Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics (RADx) programs. This person joins our Biomedical Engineering team with a high proportion of time spent on the Commercialization Support Services programs, including the Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics (RADx) initiative, with up to 10% travel as needed for program delivery and partner and funder engagement. If you are someone with at least seven years of highly related experience, including relationship and network building, this may be a great role for you.

The Chief of Staff is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys having their hand in multiple projects and streams of work. As our Chief of Staff, you will drive the coordination and facilitation of the administrative and operational activities of the executive team. You will also be responsible for leading organizational change as an advocate for VentureWell overseeing change management and internal communications.
