Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm.

Evaluation Consultant
UW-Madison/SMPH/POP HEALTH INST/PHI
We seek an experienced Evaluation Consultant for the CDC-funded Opioid and Injury Harm Prevention program grants at the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS). This individual, based at DHS in collaboration with the UW Population Health Institute, will serve as lead evaluator for the Division of Public Health's programs to address the opioid epidemic and injury prevention initiatives. The incumbent will conduct CDC-required evaluation and reporting for state programs as well as support evaluation capacity development for community organizations, public health agencies, and other stakeholders.
The Evaluation Consultant will provide oversight on project-specific evaluation plans, as well as documentation of key lessons learned and program impacts. The Evaluation Consultant will work with partners in opioid and injury harm prevention evaluation activities using multi-sector, multi-faceted approaches and will engage stakeholders in determining indicators of success, evaluation questions and using monitoring and evaluation tools to inform day-to-day management of activities as well as report results. This role will support local partners by developing their capacity to use data to meet their program needs and inform direction and decision making around substance use and injury harm prevention in their communities.
The consultant will be expected to use participatory and empowerment evaluation approaches as much as possible to promote community ownership and sustainability of efforts. The consultant will work closely with members of the Violence, Injury Prevention, and Opioid Harm Prevention Unit at DHS, other DHS units and divisions, as well as with statewide partners, to disseminate learning, ensure consistency of messaging, and make recommendations for action based on evaluation findings. The incumbent will apply a health equity lens and promote diversity and inclusion throughout their work.

AODA Counselor
Psychological Addiction Services
Psychological Addiction Services is comprehensive outpatient substance abuse treatment facility serving patients diagnosed with opiate dependency. CARF accredited medication assisted treatment program is dedicated to helping individuals regain control of their lives. Our ultimate goal is to address the physical, emotional, and mental aspects of opioid use disorder to help each of our patients achieve long-term recovery and an improved quality of life.
Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, our counselors are responsible for providing individual and group counseling in accordance with State and Federal regulations.
Job Description:
1) Provide individual counseling to patients in order to assist them with identifying problems and exploring potential solutions; setting realistic goals and developing implementation strategies; and motivating them to further their recovery.
2) Maintain timely and appropriate client charts. This will include: Assessments, Treatment Plans, Monthly Follow-ups, 90-Day Treatment Plan Reviews and Progress Notes.
3) Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and meetings.
4) Address toxicology test results with the patients and initiate appropriate follow-up.
5) Maintain participant records in accordance with agency, DHS, DEA and CARF standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

1) Wisconsin CSAC, SAC or SAC-IT credential required.
2) Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3) Experience with individual and group therapy required.
4) Experience with medication assisted treatment (suboxone/methadone) preferred.
5) Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills.

Available to work Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM and occasional Saturdays 6:00-8:00 am

This position will focus on the implementation of priorities in the Marathon County Community Health Improvement Plan including: Tobacco/substance use, Mental Health, and Health Equity. We are looking for flexible candidates who have interest and skills in the areas of community and systems change and population health. Skills in data collection and management, and group process/facilitation skills are advantageous. Employees will work primarily business hours on weekdays, with some early morning, evening and weekend work required.
