FFA & Adoption Social Worker
Valley Teen Ranch
Provides therapeutic case management services to clients regarding issues related to trauma. Develops and implements therapeutic treatment plans including goals and interventions to reach these goals. Completes psychosocial assessments of prospective Resource Families and provides ongoing supportive services to approved families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
-Orientations of potential Resource Family home applicants.
-Evaluation and assessment of the application of the potential Resource Families.
-Evaluation and assessment of a child for placement and continued placement in an approved Resource Family home.
-Placement of the child or nonminor dependent in the certified family home, licensed foster family home, or Resource Family.
-Development and updating of the child’s needs and services plan, including identifying individuals who are important to the child.
-Supervision of the placement of the child or nonminor dependent including direct contact with the child or nonminor dependent and the Resource Families.
-Provision of support services to certified parents, foster family home licensees, and Resource Families assigned to the social worker.
-Social work personnel shall meet the core competency requirements, including having necessary knowledge and skills.

Education, Coursework and Field Experience Requirements:
A Master's Degree or higher from an accredited or state approved graduate school in social work or social welfare, marriage, family, and child counseling, child psychology, child development, counseling psychology or social psychology.

Other Qualifications:
a. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
b. Must undergo and pass a thorough background investigation.
c. Have and maintain a clean DMV record, a safe DMV record, and automobile insurance according to company requirements.
d. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive.
e. Strong written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
f. Strong administrative skills.
