About the Position: UPMC Shadyside, a Magnet designated facility, is currently hiring a Regular Full-Time Professional Staff Nurse to support the Emergency Department. Nurses in this role are able to work either rotating shifts and/or night shifts. The UPMC Shadyside Emergency Department is a 50-bed unit with a high acuity patient population. Since Shadyside is connected to the UPMC Cancer Center, we see many oncology patients that come from around the city and beyond. We have established a designated oncology area within our ED, in addition to caring for all other patients who present to the triage desk or by EMS. We have a 24 hour cardiac catheterization lab for STEMI and we are a stroke center. The ED is a fun and fast-paced, team-based environment where rapid problem-solving is necessary to address evolving needs and priorities.
