Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent is charged with and accountable for:
1. Providing level operational and administrative oversight and coordination of all programs and activities necessary to carry out the agencies legislative functions and activities, providing leadership and in-depth understanding of the total legislative process. Success in the position requires collaboration with the government affairs, public affairs and board relations.;
2. Designs and implements legislative initiatives that are aligned with DCHA’s strategic objectives;
3. Confers regularly with Vice President, OPAC to apprise of new and changing legislation, positions, requirements, and special priority matters locally and federally. Frequently interacts with District Officials, Federal government agencies and community organizations as requested;
4. Collaborates with Vice President, OPAC in the preparation of various white papers to inform the Executive Director of DHCA and other DCHA officials and executive staff of pending legislative rules/regulations impacting DCHA...
