JOB SUMMARY:

Bilingual Parent Educators provide parenting support to families based on the Triple P curriculum. They visit families in their homes or using video conferencing software and work with a variety of family structures, ages, and issues. This position is responsible for case management, outreach, information and referral making. Training in Level 4 of Triple-P Parenting is required. This training will be provided.

We train and develop experts in addressing the impact of trauma and ending cycles of abuse to ensure that all of us at CPI are able to meet the changing needs of families by using strategies that have been proven effective. This position provides direct instruction to a multi-grade class of 8-12 students using a relational, trauma-informed approach to implement curriculum according to the learning styles of each individual student.

Family Resource Center staff members provide supported visitation for parents who can only see their children in a controlled environment. They assist in the weekly distribution of diapers through the CPI Diaper Project and assist families with other concrete supports/basic needs.

A typical schedule for this part-time position is 20 hrs/week including evenings 3 – 7pm and Saturdays 8:30 – 5pm.
