Qubic Qubic, a Sherbrooke and Waterloo based superconducting quantum sensing hardware startup is planing to expand in 2025 and is looking to fill its pool of experienced candidates with... strong command and demonstrated excellence in the following areas :
-experimental quantum science, with experience with cryogenic instruments, microwave test and measurements, and quantum device characterization;
- microwave engineering with experience in active microwave devices, PCB and packaging design and simulation, RF and microwave experimental testing and characterization. Experience with Radar and communication signal processing would be desired;
- nanofabrication scientist with extensive clean room experience in fabrication of thin-film materials and micro or nano microelectronic, optic, or quantum devices , with extensive experience with photolithography with micrometer scale feature sizes, and/or e-beam lithography;
Ideal candidate profile :
. A PhD (completed or to be completed before September 2025) in one of the above areas or related fields; . Passionate about quantum technology and developing new scientific interventions based in quantum
optics;

Processor Development Intern Physicist
D-Wave We are looking for a creative, energetic, and self-motivated Experimental Physicist Intern to join our Processor Development team and to work on our Gate Model Quantum Computing (... GMQC) project. The PD team is composed of individuals with diverse backgrounds in physics, superconducting design and fabrication, engineering, and software development who work together to create the processors at the heart of our quantum computer. This group is constantly pushing boundaries of our technology to improve processor performance.
In this position, you will work with other scientists, IC designers, fabrication engineers, systems hardware and cryogenic experts and software developers to improve our fluxonium qubit technology.
This internship will last around 6 to 12 months with a defined project scope. The project will be comprised of one or more of the following areas:
1. Characterization of fluxonium qubits coherence times and improvements in their performance through superconducting circuit layout and fabrication methods 2. Implementation and benchmarking of advanced pulse sequences for 1Q and 2Q gates 3. Measurement and characterization of Josephson junctions that are used in the construction of fluxonium circuits
You have: •Some graduate study in physics, electrical engineering, or a similar discipline, or equivalent experimental research experience •Minimum 2 years’ experience working in an advanced physics research lab setting •Experience with experimental setups for measuring quantum devices •Background in the measurement and control of quantum systems, superconducting circuit design or fabrication, parametric amplification, device physics, or noise models and characterization methods •Strong programming and software development skills •Exceptional candidates will have a solid background in one or more of the following: microwave engineering, pulsed control experiments, low-noise electronics, RF instrumentation and components, superconducting qubits and fabrication

Your Qualifications
We’re looking for a talented and motivated Optical Engineer with the following qualifications:
* At least 2 years of experience in experimental optics, quantum optics, quantum communication, or atomic physics. * In-depth knowledge of quantum information and optical communication systems. * Preferred experience with: * Designing and characterizing entangled photon pair sources. * Single-photon generation, control, and detection techniques. * Analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem-solving. * High level of commitment and ability to work collaboratively within a team. * Strong proficiency in Polish and/or English, both spoken and written. * Desirable assets: A Ph.D. in physics, technical physics, or a related technical field.
