Primary Responsibilities for this role include:
Processing and conducting statistical analysis of large meteorological data sets (ex/ CMIP, ERA-5, CPC, etc.)
Contributing to the development of catastrophe models by running and providing insight into numerical weather prediction and forecast models (WRF, GFS, GLOFAS etc.)
Running the KatRisk Software Suite and analyzing results for client and internal studies

Senior Catastrophe Modeling Analyst
USAA Responsible for catastrophe risk analyses for multiple P&C insurance personal product lines. Role includes running one or more cat models, researching, recommending, and supporting model adjustments or overlays, hybrid approaches, or blending results from multiple catastrophe models as appropriate, validating exposure data and claims data, as well as working with and developing a strong relationship with a variety of business partners, such as product managers, state managers, underwriters, pricing actuaries, reinsurance actuaries, etc.
