SNAP Coordinator
Hunger-Free Oregon
The SNAP Coordinator position will be an integral team member on efforts to address college hunger in Oregon. This position specifically will partner with higher education institutions by providing training, support, and coordination on connecting students to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).  By coordinating with co-workers on our Hunger-Free Campuses Team, this position will help take the input of students and use it to equip colleges to increase access to SNAP and address college hunger. Key activities and responsibilities will include coordinating with stakeholders, facilitating SNAP trainings and outreach activities, and engaging with students on their needs and solutions. 

SNAP Coordinator: Priority review starts September 5, 2019
40 hrs a week, non-exempt. Hourly Rate: $19.71 hour/ $41,000 yr. DOE. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance; up to 3% matched retirement (IRA); paid family/medical leave; health & dependent care flexible spending account; 3 weeks of paid vacation with annual increase; 2 weeks of paid sick time; 12+ paid holidays.

Bridge to Finish Program Coordinator

United Way of King County is launching a campaign to reduce poverty by increasing college completion rates for students of color, working parents, and first-generation college students. Our program provides coordinated access to benefits, financial interventions, and housing services by creating Benefits Hubs across on college campuses. The Bridge To Finish Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating these efforts across the region. This position works closely with internal staff and community partner agencies and colleges to coordinate strategic mobilization of resources, community services alignment, and scaling of the program to serve more students and serve them better. The position will be responsible for coordinating strategies that will provide 10,000 community college students with Bridge to Finish financial interventions.

Essential Duties:

-Supports grant compliance including adhering to reporting requirements, tracking timesheets and other documentation, and navigating broader AmeriCorps policies.
-Actively participates in efforts to reduce racial dispartites and systems of oppression.
-Coordinates service delivery processes with multiple non-profit partners to monitor service quality, uptake at sites, scheduling, and day to day problem solving
-Serves as a first decision maker on individual student service delivery issues when they arise, using discretion appropriately and responsibly.
-Coordinates data analysis efforts for the program, ensuring quality assurance and timeliness of submissions of student level data and compilation of data for analysis.
-Leads and mobilizes college partners around regional Bridge to Finish strategies, such as a financial aid completion campaign, to increase the number of students accessing services on each campus.
-Provides support to program leadership in fundraising, advocacy, data analysis, research, and building regional and national partnerships

Specifically, Hunger Free Oklahoma’s Policy work focuses primarily on the Federal Nutrition Programs and ensuring that resources are distributed to individuals in need in the most effective and efficient way possible. While the programs are federally funded, much of the administrative and legislative solutions can be addressed at the state and local levels. This position will work at every level of government to remove barriers and increase impact of the programs.
