Harborview Medical Center Under general supervision, the Caring Contact Peer Navigator is an individual who ideally self-identifies as a consumer of behavioral health services and is well-grounded in their... own recovery. They model resiliency in overcoming obstacles common to those with behavioral health conditions. This position will serve a wide diverse population of clients, all of whom have presented in partnering emergency departments or inpatient psychiatric units and have attempted suicide or experienced a suicidal crisis. They will help persons navigate through subsequent crisis, identify goals that promote recovery and resiliency, and will assist in identifying services and activities to help them reach these goals and provide the support needed to accomplish them. This position will also help to coordinate enhanced services to domestic violence victims and their families.
