UW Women’s mental health fellowship (starts July 2021)
UW Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences
UW Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is offering 12-month fellowship providing psychiatrists or psychiatric nurse practitioners with advanced training in Women’s Mental Health, with an emphasis on perinatal psychiatry. The fellowship will take advantage of the department’s strengths in collaborative care, consultation, and perinatal mental health.

This position is responsible for leading NAMI Washington’s advocacy and public policy team. The Director of Public Policy & Advocacy will collaborate with a variety of organizational and community stakeholders to clearly define a path forward in support of our vision for an effective Comprehensive Behavioral Health System, with the goals of (1) increasing access to behavioral health care and ensuring adequate funding resources; (2) decriminalization of behavioral health conditions; and (3) prioritizing prevention and early intervention.

Peer Navigator
Harborview Medical Center
Under general supervision, the Caring Contact Peer Navigator is an individual who ideally self-identifies as a consumer of behavioral health services and is well-grounded in their own recovery. They model resiliency in overcoming obstacles common to those with behavioral health conditions. This position will serve a wide diverse population of clients, all of whom have presented in partnering emergency departments or inpatient psychiatric units and have attempted suicide or experienced a suicidal crisis. They will help persons navigate through subsequent crisis, identify goals that promote recovery and resiliency, and will assist in identifying services and activities to help them reach these goals and provide the support needed to accomplish them. This position will also help to coordinate enhanced services to domestic violence victims and their families.
This position had an anticipated duration of 16 months.
