This position exists to serve as a Program Monitor for one or more employment and training programs that are operated in local workforce regions as well as state level programs, special initiatives and other grants. Monitors and provides technical assistance to the region(s) for compliance with the laws, regulations, and policies impacting Wagner-Peyser and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs, Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA), and other grants and programs. Monitors and provides technical assistance for data validation/integrity across all workforce programs. Provides data analysis and recommendations for the development of policies and strategic planning for employment and training programs based on interpretation of laws and regulations. Position promotes and fosters transparency and accountability across workforce programs. Develops positive working relationships with directors, managers, committees, agencies and individuals at the Federal, state and local level as well as team members and other offices within the Department. May also implement and maintain appropriate monitoring and technical assistance related projects within management-established guidelines and timeframes, and be responsible for the development or review of project budgets and contracts.
