Project Surveyor/Survey Technician
David Evans and Associates
The primary focus will be field to finish production of topographic surveys, boundary surveys and right of way plans. Experience in processing GPS static survey data and laser scan data is a plus. DEA is dedicated to a revenue generating survey business line, utilizing cutting edge technology that allows us to be a leader in terrestrial, GPS, 3D laser scanning and hydrographic surveying.
Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
· Develop tactical action plans for project
· Processing and drafting of survey field data
· Performing boundary calculations
· Analysis and input of title commitment and deed data
· Quality control oversight
· Coordinating with other DEA disciplines and clients
· Directing the field and office crewmembers in the performance of their duties and mentoring and coaching them to advance within the survey profession as their individual abilities allow
· Demonstrated ability to maintain existing client relationships
Basic Qualifications:
· 5+ years of experience working on survey related projects using Civil 3D or Microstation/InRoads
· Capable of managing large project tasks, communicating well with management, clients, and mentoring junior level staff members
· Familiarity with state and county survey regulations and requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
· Professional Land Surveyor (PLS), Survey Intern (LSIT), or Certified Survey Technician (CST)

Survey Technician

Ss a Survey Technician, you will work on preparing a variety of projects which can include Survey Plats, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Legal Descriptions and other surveying related products. You will provide basic project design through AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting, run calculations, and create and update drawings related to land surveying. This role may require travel to job sites for observation and have the opportunity to work with in the field gaining more exposure to surveying.
