Construction Project Surveyor

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Civil 3D, Construction calculations, ALTA surveys, and topographical surveys. Key Responsibilities:
• Produce construction calculations for field crews, as-built surveys, and construction plans.
• Interpret and analyze Construction Plans and design CAD files effectively.

Survey Project Manager

The successful candidate will work on fast-paced projects. This individual must possess people
skills and be team/goal-oriented. Duties include communication with the field crews to provide
support. Communication with design engineers to aid in the preparation of design
surveys. Ability to work on various projects, including GPS control surveys, construction staking,
and preparation of mapping products for transportation-related projects. Good
communication skills with clients, staff, and field crews. Ability to manage time and workflow
effectively. Sets priorities for projects; coordinates with clients and team members to deliver
services in a timely manner.
Currently, the survey department has a support staff of PLSs, LSITs, and CAD drafters. We are
fielding multiple survey crews working on various types of projects ranging from large
transportation projects, GPS control networks, remote sensing, ALTA’s, and topographical surveys
to construction staking.
Responsibilities and Duties
The PLS position leads office and field work performed by staff in the Denver office. The PLS will
oversee and take professional responsibility for work on boundary, topographic, and ALTA
surveys, construction staking, and control surveys.
The PLS will assist the Survey Director in proposals. The PLS will oversee financial details and performance of all survey projects or
tasks, and directly supervise the office and field staff assigned to the survey group.
Qualifications and Skills
Client contact and communication are required.
Written reports and proposals are part of the position requirements, as well as the following:
• BS in Engineering or Land Surveying or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years experience, including progressive levels of responsibility in staff

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct various field surveys, including control surveys, ROW (Right-of-Way),
construction staking, boundary, and topography, typically on a one or two-person
crew.
• Proficiently operate survey instruments such as total stations, levels, GNSS receivers,
and survey controllers with precision.
• Execute field survey tasks in compliance with local and state regulations.
• Work autonomously, making technical and procedural decisions within defined
authority limits for assigned projects.
• Generate clear and meticulous field notes and high-quality field data for subsequent

Essential Requirements:
• High school diploma is required; a bachelor's or associate's degree in an applicable
field is advantageous.
