TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LEADERSHIP ROLE:
•Master or equivalent degree from a premier institution in Business Administration, Sustainability, Public Administration, Policy, International Relations, Development, Social Entrepreneurship, Social sciences, Economics, Education or any related fields with an excellent academic record;
•Overall, 15+ years of work experience, including experience at a leading consulting /advisory firm or as a practitioner in corporates, multilateral, or bilateral organizations or experience at a top social impact organization in a leadership capacity;
•Successful track record in building a business and managing its P&L;
•Experience in managing multiple work streams in a program, driving performance management with on-ground partners and clients, and setting up and operationalizing strong project management systems and processes;
•Highly proficient in stakeholder management across all levels in the client organizations as well as within the firm;
•Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and perform in an entrepreneurial atmosphere;
•A passion for international development, typically evidenced by a strong interest and prior exposure to global issues;
•Sensitivity to the political and cultural environments of international public agencies or similarly complex environments.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
•Help in building the Investment Banking business
•Origination and successful execution of private equity or M&A transactions
•Develop and manage institutional relationships with potential clients and Investors/ Financial Institutions
•Mentor junior team members to create better delivery and leadership capability
•Generate new business ideas, ventures and service offerings that could add to the firm’s existing revenue generation ability
•Seek cross-selling opportunities with other business units and group companies
•Write thought pieces for publication and present at conferences to propagate the IBG viewpoints
Required Qualifications and Skills
•6-10 years of proven experience in raising private equity and/ or M&A for companies, in sectors– financial Services, agri, climate, healthcare, and/or education
•Transaction experience across Private Equity and/ or M&A
•Good BD skills and relationships with both domestic and international investors
•Experience in managing staff and interactions at all levels of the organization
•Has built strong relationships with clients and investors locally
•MBA Finance or CPA / CFA/ CA
•Comprehensive knowledge of financial markets and investment banking business. Having been part of closed private equity transactions is a plus;
•Knowledge of relevant regulations (FDI, SEBI, RBI, etc.), term sheets, and shareholder agreements are desirable
