Moffitt is Florida’s only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. We are a hybrid academic practice affiliated with the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine with university appointments available.
Moffitt’s Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Interventional Radiology currently includes 26 body imagers and a total of 55 clinical faculty members. The rapidly expanding Body Imaging section operates 13 CT, 15 MRI, and 4 PET/CT scanners. Extensive research and teaching opportunities are available. Dedicated academic time is provided and PhD-level scientists are employed by the department to assist the clinical faculty in their research efforts.

Depending on training and preference, selected individuals will serve exclusively in the Oncology Imaging Section or jointly in the Oncology Imaging and Abdominal Imaging Sections. Titles in this series are assigned to academically qualified individuals who are in full-time service of the University, provide excellent teaching and clinical services, and engage in creative academic activities.
Candidates must hold an M.D. degree, be eligible for California licensure and be boarded or board-eligible by the American Board of Radiology. Candidates must also have completed a body, abdominal, or equivalent radiology fellowship. Candidates must possess excellent radiology skills in all facets of Abdominal and Oncologic Imaging, in particular CT, PET/CT and MRI. Experience and interest in oncology clinical trials and in treatment response assessment, whole body MRI, and MRI/PET are viewed favorably, as is dual boarding in Nuclear Medicine.
The Department of Radiological Sciences provides comprehensive, state-of-the-art imaging, consultation, and interventional services across four hospitals and more than twenty-five outpatient sites. Photon counting CT and MR PET machines have recently been installed.
