The Department of Anesthesiology at Weill Cornell Medical College-NewYork Presbyterian Hospital is seeking Critical Care Anesthesiologist-Intensivists for our 20-bed Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit, caring for patients undergoing procedures including CABG, valve repair/replacement, complex aortic surgery, ventricular assist devices, and ECMO.
Our faculty provide medical leadership in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, and participate in the staffing of the Neuro-ICU, SICU, and MICU. The faculty are actively involved in our critical care fellowship and all aspects of resident education.

A 1-year funded fellowship providing intensive training in the care of cardiothoracic critical care patients with an emphasis on durable and temporary LVADs, ECMO, heart and lung transplantation, echocardiography, and bedside procedures (including tunneled lines, pericardiocentesis, and ECMO cannulation). Application is open to fellows who have completed training in critical care medicine (ABIM or ABA), cardiothoracic anesthesiology, cardiothoracic surgery, or cardiology. Our 95 bed CVICU offers the ideal location to facilitate training in the increasingly specialized arena of cardiothoracic critical care.
