Our division provides anesthesia for ap... proximately 1,600 cardiac and 400 thoracic surgical cases annually and we are one of the busiest mitral valve repair centers in the nation, performing over 400 mitral repairs per year. Our complex aortic surgical center is rapidly evolving with over 100 Ross procedures done annually making Mount Sinai the busiest Ross program in the world. U.S. News & World Report consistently names Mount Sinai Hospital as one of the nation’s top hospitals and currently rank #4 in Best Hospitals for Cardiology & Heart Surgery by U.S. News & World Report.
