Veritas Academy The School Nurse will evaluate and provide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illness, monitor and dispense prescription and OTC medications, develop and mana... ge Action Plans for students with chronic illness and disabilities, examine and authenticate vaccination records, update students health and medical history records as needed, and organize and conduct Vision, Hearing, and Scoliosis screenings for new and current students. The School Nurse will also provide nursing care for on campus activities, provide yearly Bloodborne Pathogen training to faculty and staff at inservice, report any communicable diseases (that are legally required to be reported), and follow and implement any Illness Protocols outlined by Veritas Academy. The School Nurse will work 2 to 3 days per week during school hours, as well as during required school events and screenings, with flexibility during August, September, and October, for increased availability. Candidates must be a Registered Nurse with 2+ years experience. Bachelor's of Science in Nursing preferred.
