Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Reporting to the Senior Engineering Supervisor, Geotechnical, the Intermediate to Senior Geotechnical Engineer is responsible for supporting the geotechnical aspects of mine planning and design through to execution, including pit expansions, slope monitoring, geotechnical investigation programs and design compliance.

To be successful, we require someone with a minimum of five years Geotechnical Engineering experience, with preference given to candidates with existing experience working for an active mine site, or consulting for open-pit operations. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and proven experience in overseeing and coordinating multiple internal resources and external contractors in projects. This role requires a motivated self-starter, who can multi-task effectively and work collaboratively with others in a technical team-based environment. Demonstrated experience with project management and training in Geotechnical Engineering and mine planning will be considered an asset.
