Volunteer Opportunity with Local Non-profit
Neighborhood Forest Hi there!
My name is Clara, and I am Head of Member Engagement at Neighborhood Forest. We’re a local nonprofit that gives free trees to kids across North America every Ear... th Day. Last year we gave away around 40,000+ trees and we are on track to give out ~50,000+ trees this coming Earth Day. We have all sorts of groups signing up - libraries, schools, 4-H, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, even a bookmobile signed up this year! Kids take their tree home and plant it on their own or a willing friend/family member’s property.
I’m looking for a generous individual willing to share their expertise / feedback on the type of species best suitable for the different areas that we provide trees to. We are in almost all 50 states and parts of Canada. While we have our tree species for this year picked out, I would love to hear your feedback and any suggestions for next year.
When: Anytime after mid-May into the Summer! Where: Virtual or In-person meeting Commitment: Whatever time you are willing to share:)
