The Computer Systems Technology department is engaged in the development of innovative associate and baccalaureate curricula to educate students in emerging information technologies and their application to business, science, the arts and other human endeavors. The CST department is part of the School of Technology and Design, which provides a unique environment for interdisciplinary research and learning.
The Department seeks an innovative technologist having both a solid theoretical background and technical expertise in various areas of computer science and computer systems to join us as an Assistant Professor, tenure-track, for the 2018-2019 academic year to commence Fall 2018. The position requires a commitment to teaching, scholarly research resulting in publications and presentations, sustained service to the department and college, and academic advisement. The candidate hired will be expected to participate actively in College/University-wide initiatives and function collaboratively in department level efforts, actively assisting with the creation, development, and assessment of department curricula.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field, with expertise in Networking and Cyber Security, Internet Computing and Software Development, or Data Analytics. Research and publication are required for tenure and promotion. Applicants must have Ph.D. in hand by the date of appointment in late August 2018 for a fall appointment
Preferred Qualifications
· At least two years college-level teaching experience in general computer courses
