Postdoctoral Fellow
University of Iowa
Postdoctoral positions are available in Lee-Ann Allen’s lab at the University of Iowa Inflammation Program. Diverse projects examining manipulation of neutrophil and macrophage function by Helicobacter pylori and Francisella tilarensis are available.
Postdoctoral fellow-vaccines and immune responses
Cornell University
The Leifer lab seeks a postdoctoral fellow to work on a recently awarded NIH R01 project to investigate the immune response to combination adjuvants delivered using a new vaccine platform based on bacterial outer membrane vesicles. The project is a collaboration between the Leifer lab and the Putnam bioengineering lab at Cornell. The goal is to develop broadly protective flu vaccines. Contact Dr. Leifer for more information.
Postdoctoral fellow
University of Nebraska Medical Center
A four year NIH-funded position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Tammy Kielian at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska to study innate immunity during Staphylococcus aureus biofilm infections. Our laboratory utilizes both in vitro and in vivo approaches to explore macrophage and myeloid-derived suppressor cell (MDSC) interactions with S. aureus biofilms and we collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons to evaluate specimens from patients with biofilm infections. Stop by our laboratory’s posters on Monday and Tuesday to learn more!
NETs in wound healing & regeneration
Massachusetts General Hospital
A four-year postdoc position to study the contribution of neutrophils and NETs to wound healing and regeneration is available in the laboratory of Dr. Daniel Irimia at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. The work relies on novel assays and technologies, uses animal models, and the most promising ideas will be tested in the clinic in multidisciplinary teams with physician collaborators.

PhD and PDF positions available
McMaster University
The Bowdish lab is seeking new members for our dynamic and close-knit team to study how age-associated inflammation and the microbiome influence myeloid cell differentiation and immune function in mice and humans. Experience in bone marrow chimeras, analysis of the microbiome and flow cytometry is an asset. I’ll be speaking on Tuesday morning so come and check out the exciting work we are doing and our lab websites www.bowdish.ca and www.psal.ca

Postdoc
Duke University
Looking for a highly motivated and team oriented early year postdoc to head up a neutrophil project involving mouse and human specimen analyzed by high parameter flow cytometry, single cell rna seq, and other cutting edge techniques. The project involves working with clinician ophthalmologist and basic immunologists to understand blinding noninfectious disease. See http://stm.sciencemag.org/content/10/451/eaas9164.editor-summary

Post doc - cell death in defense vs infection
University of North Carolina
The Miao lab is seeking post docs to study how various modes of cell death function in defense against infection. We have long studied inflammasomes and caspase-1/11 driven pyroptotic cell death. We are now expanding into other forms of cell death including thise initiated by natural killer cells and CTLs. We have studied a variety of infectious models (Salmonella, Listeria, Burkholderia, Chromobacterium), which are powerful when used in comparison to each other. We also explore new infectious models in the lab frequently. Giving a talk at 3pm session Monday that illustrates our mindset to using diverse pathogens to study basic immune defense mechanisms against intracellular pathogens.
Postdoctoral fellow
Cedars-sinai medical center
A Postdoctoral Scientist position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Kathrin Michelsen at the Inflammatory Bowel and Immunobiology Research Institute (IBIRI) in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, California. This position will be focused on investigating immune cellular interactions, receptor signaling/function and immune responses in inflammatory bowel diseases.

Postdoctoral Fellow
Cedars-sinai medical center
A Postdoctoral Scientist position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Stephan Targan at the Inflammatory Bowel and Immunobiology Research Institute (IBIRI) in Cedars Sinai Medical Center. This position will be focused on investigating immune cellular interactions, receptor signaling/function and immune responses in inflammatory bowel diseases. The successful candidate will perform all duties associated with in-vitro, in-vivo and ex-vivo experiments related to the projects including general lab maintenance, mouse husbandry and training of research associates or students. Specific lab duties include but are not limited to performing primary mouse and human cell isolation and tissue culture, T cell differentiation and functional assays, multi-color flow cytometry, gene/protein assays and in-vivo murine models of inflammation.
Postdoc position - monocyte differentiation and functional programming
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center
Helen Goodridge PhD is looking for a postdoctoral scientist to join her team at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles to study mechanisms underlying the differentiation and functional programming of monocytes and neutrophils, building on the lab’s previous studies of myelopoiesis (including Blood, 2015 and Immunity, 2017). Candidates should have an interest and prior expertise in immunology and/or hematology, with strong experience of flow cytometry, tissue culture, molecular biology (e.g. RNA-seq, ChIP, DNA barcoding) and rodent studies (e.g. adoptive transfer, bone marrow transplantation). Bioinformatics/computational experience would be an advantage.

The Goodridge lab (www.cedars-sinai.edu/goodridgelab), which is located in the Cedars-Sinai Regenerative Medicine Institute (www.cedars-sinai.edu/rmi) and affiliated with Cedars-Sinai’s Research Division of Immunology (www.cedars-sinai.edu/Research/Research-Areas/Immunology-Infectious-Disease), studies the production and functional programming of myeloid cells (neutrophils, monocytes, macrophages and DCs), and their roles in infectious and inflammatory diseases, aging and tissue regeneration.

Contact helen.goodridge@csmc.edu for more information.
