The Hilty lab at Texas A&M University has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral position in the area of hyperpolarized NMR. The project is designed to push the envelope of how NMR solves fundamental questions in chemistry and the life sciences. Hyperpolarization provides a large increase in the sensitivity of detection, which enables new applications in time-resolved and multi-dimensional NMR spectroscopy. You will design and implement experimental methods and technology that integrate hyperpolarization methods such as dynamic nuclear polarization and parahydrogen induced polarization with NMR detection to achieve these goals. The position requires a PhD or equivalent degree in a relevant field including but not limited to Chemistry, Physics or related Engineering disciplines. The project will allow you to gain experience in new analytical technologies in a rapidly developing field at the intersection of chemistry, life sciences and physics.
