Postdoctoral Scholar
University of Southern California The Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern California (USC) is seeking postdoctoral scholar(s) to join our scholarly communit... y (http://chan.usc.edu/). The scholar(s) will serve on our USC Chan Initiative entitled Responding to Society’s Post-Pandemic Occupational Needs (ReSPONs). ReSPONs was created to address pressing societal needs at the intersection of the public health, economic, and racial pandemics affecting society. The scholar(s) will engage in research that addresses occupational disruptions and health disparities, particularly in disadvantaged, disproportionately affected, or under-represented populations. The primary responsibility is to accelerate the creation of innovations to address the ongoing needs of individuals, families, and communities, as the chronic effects of these pandemics continue to impact health, well-being, and occupational engagement.
Candidates should demonstrate a track record of scholarship and a strong commitment to contributing to socially responsive and community-engaged research and program development. We seek established individuals who thrive in contemporary interdisciplinary academic arenas, can produce impactful findings, and facilitate knowledge translation to critical health or societal issues. Preference will be given to scholars who are recognized experts in occupational science, occupational therapy, health equity/social justice, health promotion, and disability studies.
Applicants must have obtained a research doctoral degree in an area applicable to occupational science or occupational therapy, must articulate existing/potential contributions to these fields through projected research, and should identify potential mentors within our division. Opportunities for seed money and to participate in grantsmanship will be available.
Anticipated hire date: July 1, 2024
Starting salary: $66,000

Saint Louis University Saint Louis University is seeking candidates for Program Director, Bachelor of Science in Occupational Science at the Assistant / Associate Professor Rank (Non-Tenure Track)... The successful candidate will be expected to serve as the Program Director for the Bachelor of Science in Occupational Science, teach in an area of expertise, participate in research as appropriate, and provide service to the Department, College and/or University. This fulltime university faculty member will fulfill a 9-month contract with a summer stipend while mentoring students, teaching coursework, engaging in faculty development, pursuing scholarly activity, and providing service to the University, the community, and the profession. As a program director, the candidate will participate in recruitment and admissions activities, academic/professional progressions, didactic and clinical curricular activities and assessment, and ongoing program assessment.
