Project Manager

SFEI’s Clean Water and Resilient Landscapes Programs are looking to add 1-2 experienced and motivated Project Managers to help focus and facilitate the success of our science teams as we tackle multi-million dollar science projects with regional and national implications. The position requires strong collaboration and task management skills and a scientific background (university degree and/or work experience). Work will include facilitating a diverse, intellectually stimulating, and impactful set of tasks, including management of complex multi-task projects with local, national, and international partners, budget management, contract management, project and financial reporting, and coordinating and organizing a diverse team of scientists. A background or training in science (e.g., bachelor’s level) is needed to help track project tasks, strategize during budgeting and timeline development, and draft contract scopes. Watershed Scientist / Riparian Ecologist
San Francisco Estuary Institute
The position consists of working on applied science projects in the San Francisco Bay-Delta region and beyond focused on helping develop multi-benefit watershed management approaches that support long-term resilience to land use change and climate change. This position will work closely with multiple project partners and stakeholders to arrive at management solutions that support both people and wildlife.

Primary position responsibilities will include:

Investigating historical, contemporary, and future watershed physical and ecological processes and functions.

Biologist - On Call (Entry)
