Senior Director, Research

The PQA Senior Director of Research directs PQA’s research to develop evidence to support meaningful quality measures; evaluate the impact of PQA measures on care delivery, patient outcomes and healthcare spending; and identify gaps in performance measurement. To support high-quality care, PQA research also studies the value of medications and innovative care delivery models, including pharmacist-provided care, and fosters collaboration to address health equity and improve medication access. The Senior Director of Research leads PQA’s research team in the identification, funding, execution and dissemination of research projects. The Senior Director collaborates with senior PQA staff to ensure that the organization’s research is aligned with PQA’s mission and organizational priorities, responsive to the needs of PQA’s multi-stakeholder membership, and effectively disseminated to members and other relevant health care stakeholders.

Research is a PQA strategic priority and identified area of growth. The Senior Director of Research plays a key role in securing grants and other funding through cultivation of key partnerships that expand PQA’s research portfolio with public and private sector organizations.

IE-CRE is a signature initiative of the College of Arts and Sciences at LTU that promotes the inclusion of all students through course-based research experiences in multiple disciplines.

IE-CRE implements an educational paradigm that facilitates learning through an exciting and engaging original research experience, providing students not merely with knowledge, but also with problem-solving tools and capabilities that go outside and beyond the textbook. IE-CRE community members teach CRE courses, conduct research on diversity in higher education curricula, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in academia, in the community, and in the society at large. Importantly, IE-CRE community members contribute to the advancement of evidence-based solutions to enhance equity, compassion, social action, and empowerment and to reduce prejudice, stereotyping, and exclusion.

We seek a postdoctoral fellow whose work and interests reflect the goals of the IE-CRE initiative at LTU. The anticipated start date is in August 2021. While the position is currently available for one year, renewal for a second year is possible upon performance, the needs of the project and university, and the availability of resources.
