The Student PIRGs have been working for more than 40 years to amplify the power of student activism, and help students make real change, right now. We all want to live meaningful lives and have a future that's greener and healthier. By recruiting, training and working alongside student activists on campaigns that get results, our organizers are helping to build that future today. Our chapters on 35 campuses provide the training, professional support and resources students need to tackle climate change, protect public health, revitalize our democracy, feed the hungry and more.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Our organizers provide students the training and resources they need to become movement leaders by recruiting volunteers, training potential leaders to take on more responsibility, and doing campaign work themselves.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Inspiring and recruiting hundreds of students to take action on important issues. Training students to be effective social change leaders, using skills such as: organizing news conferences, building strong coalitions, generating grassroots support, and coordinating lobby days. Building a strong, sustainable, student-funded and student-run organization on campus by fundraising, building relationships with key players on campus and building our brand. Building relationships with other student groups, faculty and administrators. Working alongside students to win real reforms for the public. Running a citizen outreach office during the summer, where you’ll recruit and lead a team of canvassers to fundraise for important issues.

We are looking for someone who is ready to dive in and help us meaningfully engage students at Community College, Historically Black Colleges & Universities, as well as other minority serving institutions with planning and recruiting for Power Shift 2021. The person in this role will also support developing and implementing programming and recruitment plans for the convergence. Additionally, this organizer will work closely with our Network member organization reps, including supporting and providing professional assistance - including strategy coaching, leadership development, training, and other relevant components - to network members.

The Position: We’re looking for a Circular Economy Associate Analyst to support GreenBiz’s strategic growth in the emerging circular market.
Your primary focus will be helping to build the program for Circularity 20 (May 18-20, Atlanta), the largest circular economy conference in the US. Building on the success of a sold-out launch event, Circularity 20 will bring together more than 1,000 thought leaders and practitioners across industries and functions to accelerate the circular economy.
You will also support relevant content development for GreenBiz’s other annual events, GreenBiz and VERGE, as well as maintain ongoing partnerships and communications outside of these convenings.
This role will report directly to the Director & Senior Analyst, Circular Economy, and will work collaboratively with members of the content, marketing, design and sales teams.
