The University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Clinical Sciences and Advanced Medicine invites applications for a standing faculty position in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging, in the Clinician Educator (CE) track, at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate is expected to have a history of or potential as an exemplary clinician, educator, researcher, and academic leader in their field. Members of faculty in the CE track have a 50-60% clinical time commitment with the remainder reserved for scholarship and teaching. The CE faculty member is expected to contribute to their field through scholarship that brings new knowledge and advances their field.
In addition to working in a dynamic hospital setting with excellent support staff, the advantages of the position include an exciting intellectual environment with outstanding residents and collaborative faculty boarded in surgery, sports medicine and rehabilitation, dentistry, emergency and critical care, anesthesiology, radiology, medical and radiation oncology, internal medicine, neurology, and cardiology. The successful candidate will be joining a group of at least three other board-certified radiologists. Two 4th year diagnostic imaging residents also contribute to hospital coverage, serving a similar role as would junior faculty.

ADVETIA is a multi-disciplinary veterinary referral hospital located 30’ by car from Paris downtown. The veterinary clinical team includes 15 specialists, 2 board-eligible clinicians, 9 residents and 8 clinical assistants in multiple fields (neurology, orthopedics and soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, anesthesia, cardiology, dermatology, maxillo-facial surgery / dentistry, reproduction, and exotics), as well as 14 clinicians involved in our 24-hour emergency department. Including our nursing staff and administration staff we have a team of over 110 enthusiastic colleagues. The diagnostic imaging department facilities include in-house 1.5T GE Signa Explorer, 16 slice GE ACT Revolution helical CT, digital radiography, digital fluoroscopy, and 2 ultrasound machines (both GE Logiq E10). All images are stored in a Picture Archiving Communication System and analyzed by using a dedicated medical image viewer (Vue PACS, version 12.1/6; Carestream/Philips).

The selected candidate will be highly motivated, proactive and passionate about delivering clinical excellence, sharing knowledge and experience, willing to learn and support our residents, with excellent communication skills. Veterinary Radiologist
Fitzpatrick Referrals Oncology and Soft Tissue
This position will provide diagnostic and treatment support including if desired, assisting with stenting, tumour embolization, intra-arterial chemotherapy and other interventional vascular procedures, as well as image-guided microwave ablation of primary and metastatic tumours.

The successful candidate will be working with a team of radiographers, an ECVDI Diplomate and a residency-trained radiologist, with use of an on-site 160-slice Toshiba Aquilion Prime CT, a Philips Epic Elite ultrasound machine and a Ziehm Vision FD Xograph fluoroscopy system.

It is desirable that applicants are boarded radiologists (e.g. ECVDI or ACVR), or as a minimum board eligible radiologists, and hold a veterinary degree registrable with the RCVS. Overseas applicants must be able to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing. For overseas applicants, possession of the IELTS-Academic test, with an average overall score of at least 7.0 and a minimum of 6.5 in one of the listening, reading, writing and speaking components is required.
