ATTAIN Lab Coordinator, NYC

Job Summary:

ATTAIN (Advanced Technology Training and Information Networking) is a statewide technology initiative funded by New York State to provide urban and rural communities access to training and technology. ATTAIN provides access to academic, occupational, life skills and workplace readiness training in coordination with local community-based host agencies. The ATTAIN team is looking for qualified candidates to join their team as ATTAIN Lab Coordinators in New York City. Job Description:

The Marketing Communication Manager’s primary purpose is to develop, implement and execute strategic marketing plans for the university lead New Energy New York (NENY) project and the office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Partnerships (E&IP).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Lead the overall strategic marketing messaging and brand identity for New Energy New York and the office of Entrepreneurship & Innovation Partnerships.
Develop unique, cross-platform content for digital and print assets including print materials, websites, videos, social media and more.
Write, edit and coordinate highlights of ongoing successes.
Work to identify stories that can be pitched to the media.
Conceive and coordinate content for New Energy New York and the office’s websites.

Marketing Communications Specialist

The Marketing Communication Specialist’s primary purpose is to progress marketing for the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Partnerships and for the university lead New Energy New York project. This staff member will be responsible for the execution of strategic marketing initiatives utilizing multiple marketing mediums. Examples of such include: web, writing, print, newsletters and others. Icorps Manager
Research Foundation for SUNY
The I-Corps program was established by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to provide introductory entrepreneurship and technology commercialization training to academic innovators interested in exploring how to bring their inventions to market.

Binghamton University is looking for someone who is passionate about innovation and enjoys working with students and faculty to explore the broader impacts of their research and inventions. The I-Corps Program Manager will work within the Research Foundation Office of Entrepreneurship & Innovation Partnerships (OEIP) overseeing the operations of the I-Corps program

Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate all I-Corps programming and operations for Binghamton University, including course offerings, events logistics, and program promotion;
Coordinate with Hub Lead Cornell on the management of the application process for Binghamton-led I-Corps courses;
Promote and market of the I-Corps program.
Oversee award of I-Corps microgrants with the support of OEIP administrative assistants;
Oversee the implementation and content delivery of the Integrated Biomedical Engineering (BME) Entrepreneurship Training in the BME Senior Design courses based on the I- Corps methodology.

Associate Director of Equity and Justice

Manage the NENY Equity Project and coordinate the Project activities of the sub-awardees to create synergies among the participants and ensure maximum impact of the program.
Coordinate NENY DEIA efforts across all 16 coalition member organizations and provide advice to NENY program staff.

Associate Director, Southern Tier Clean Energy Incubator Program

Work-Based Learning Manager, New Energy New York

The Work-Based Learning Manager is a key member of the New Energy New York (NENY) leadership overseeing the implementation and coordination of workforce development and training activities of the 16 members of the New Energy New York (NENY) coalition. NENY is a $113M project.

Responsibilities:

Work with Koffman and SCI staff, and with incubator client companies, to assess and inventory company talent needs, and translate them into student training opportunities.
Promote opportunities to the Binghamton University student community, and manage student applications (including through Handshake) and training site placement, including collaborating with the University’s Fleishman Center.
With support of other EIP staff, manage administrative tasks associated with training placements, including stipend and fellowship paperwork.
Work with the Koffman Student EIR to design supplemental training opportunities to foster an entrepreneurial mindset among University students.
Monitor student performance and satisfaction of student participants and company sites with the placement, learnings, and performance. Facilitate solutions if the parties are not satisfied.
