(http://exotanium.io/), a startup created by two professors and one graduated Ph.D. student from the Department of Computer Science at Cornell University, is developing a new cloud-native application container platform that provides superior performance, security, and cost-efficiency for both public and private clouds. The technology is based on cutting-edge research and protected by a patent. Exotanium recently closed a financing round, received a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) award from the National Science Foundation (NSF), and has demonstrated a client value proposition of reducing client cloud spend up to 90%.
Exotanium is seeking full-time Software Engineers and Research/Development Interns to become an integral part of the team. You will be joining an exciting effort of creating the next-generation cloud-native container management platform. The following full-time positions are available. Research Intern, Cloud Infrastructure

Futurewei Cloud Lab is pioneering innovative technologies on Cloud Computing, with a focus on design and implementation of Futurewei's next generation cloud infrastructure Including cloud networking and compute services. We have a few internship positions available in 2021 and are seeking highly motivated students to join the team so that we together can re-innovate, re-shape and re-define the cloud infrastructure for the future.
The ideal candidate is expected to have a strong background in distributed systems, computer networking and architecture. Candidates with prior or ongoing research on cloud-native technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, docker, Kata containers), cloud resource orchestration, software-defined networking, data-center networking, and networking virtualization are strongly preferred.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- MS or PHD in Computer Science or related fields. Doctoral students on a research track are preferred.
- Experience with SDN, data-center networking, network virtualization, and resource orchestration.
- Proficiency with Java, Go or C++ with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Broad familiarity with modern concepts/algorithm/data structures in distributed systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to clearly articulate ideas and concepts to fellow engineers and researchers.
- A team player, willing to work within a multi-culture organization.
