Geotechnical Engineer (Tailings Management Focus)

The person in this position will be part of an innovative geotechnical engineering team with over 100 engineers and geologists. The team provides a wide array of geotechnical engineering services, including those related to tailings management.
Key responsibilities may include:
-Assisting with mine tailings storage facilities from concept through construction and operation
-Maintaining and developing client relationships
-Building and leading multidisciplinary teams across offices
-Preparing proposals and cost estimates for geotechnical investigations
-Coordinating field and laboratory testing
-Interpreting and analyzing geotechnical data to establish material parameters

Tailings Project Manager – Senior Level (Hybrid)

This person will manage projects and lead multidisciplinary teams providing field support and/or engineering analysis and design for complex projects with industrial clients in the oil sands and/or other mining industries. Project work will include regular client communication and interface; managing, directing, and coordinating junior to senior engineers and scientists for large-scale tailings management field programs and complex technical studies; working with clients and staff to prepare plans and execution strategies; conducting tailings studies and assessments; managing engineering studies and multi-disciplinary design projects; preparing cost estimates; preparing formal proposals; writing and managing delivery of technical reports; participating in business development initiatives and client management,; and performing other duties as assigned by the company. While the position is located in Calgary, periodic travel is required.
