Postdoctoral scientist (junior/senior)
Penn State College of Medicine We study how organelle crosstalk between mitochondria and lysosomes contributes to cell function and disease (including lysosomal storage diseases like Batten disease). My lab has... two funded positions for postdoctoral scientists, one junior and one senior. We seek scientists that are interested in metabolism, organelle crosstalk, and signaling mechanisms of disease.
Experience in any of the following is a plus: imaging, RNAseq analysis/bioinformatics, neurobiology, iPSC differentiation is a plus.
The project involves cultured mammalian cells (including some CRISPR new lines we generated), iPSC-derived cells, and mouse models, and often builds on in silico data to generate testable hypothesis.
The position is initially offered for one year due to university rules, but is renewable.
