High School Science Teacher

Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Public School District is seeking a full-time 5-12 Science instructor for the Spring of 2023 and/or Fall of 2023. Our preference of this teaching responsibility will be at the HS Grades 9-12. Preference will be given for teachers with certification in Physics and Chemistry. In addition, further preference given to those having a Masters degree, and/or who have completed the 18 Online preparation. We will be paying a premium for experienced and/or certified teachers.
We are one of only 7 schools in Minnesota on the 4-Day school week and have embraced it. We will pay market rates for those licensed to teach through the MnSCU system. Send a letter of interest, resume, credentials, and a copy of your teaching license electronically to ldahl@bbejaguars.org.

Responsibilities:
Teach ecology, wildlife, adventure, and cultural classes to large and small groups of all ages, including evening and weekend programming, both virtually and on-site where
appropriate
Plan and lead Summer Camp programming and free-time activities, whether virtual or onsite.
Overnight counseling may be required for overnight camps and college groups.
Serve as the primary representative and host to visiting conference and retreat groups. This includes being of call for overnight visitors.
Attend weekly staff meetings and regular training throughout the year
Provide basic husbandry for our animal ambassadors, including raptors, corvids, mammals, fish, invertebrates and herps. This includes meal preparation requiring the cutting up of frozen animals and the maintenance of a vermiculture bin and dermestid beetle colony.
Complete other self-directed projects, or projects/tasks as assigned
