POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Family Advocate II and the indirect supervision of the Site Manager, the Family Advocate will provide direct participant services to all participants in the Shingle Springs Tribal TANF Program (SSTTP), including eligibility determination, continuous case management and helping participants gain access to all services allowable under Federal and State regulations, supporting employment and becoming self-sufficient. The Family Advocate applies the principles, knowledge, and practice of professional social work to provide culturally relevant social diagnosis, treatment, research, consultation, and preventive social service programs for individuals and families.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Transporter is responsible for providing transportation to Shingle Springs Tribal TANF participants, and for providing support to the Site Manager. S/he develops a schedule for specific regularly scheduled routes, responds to the transportation needs of the participants and assists passengers in boarding and exiting the vehicle. Other responsibilities may include furniture assembly, delivery of products, computer and technical support and other responsibilities as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Family Support Coordinator is a grant-funded position within the Behavioral Health Department of the Shingle Springs Health and Wellness Center. This position is responsible for coordinating and facilitating Circles of Care Program events and engagement with the community, and will be a resource for families, agencies, and others. This position reports directly to the Circles of Care Project Manager.

Tutor

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Education Center Manager, the Tutor is responsible for providing personalized tutoring services for youth in grades K-12 and assisting youth in their educational endeavors. Tutor is responsible for collaboration with local elementary, middle and high schools to build communication and partnerships to address the educational needs of the youth the community. Responsible for planning and implementing educational activities which promote positive development of the youth in alignment with the expected outcomes of established goals of the Tribe and various funding sources. In summer months, the Tutor assumes the roles and responsibilities of a Youth Coordinator.

Executive Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direct supervision of the Chairperson, the Executive Assistant will be responsible for handling a wide array of administrative and executive support tasks. Incumbent must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.

The ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remain flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality, is crucial to this role. Expert-level written and verbal communication skills, strong decision making ability, and attention to detail are equally important.

Community Service Officer

POSITION SUMMARY
Community Service Officers assist and work in conjunction with sworn Shingle Springs Rancheria Tribal Police Officers and other law enforcement or security personnel operating within their jurisdiction for the prevention of crime. The primary responsibility of the Community Service Officers is to conduct patrols and/or staff stationary locations as necessary, at the Shingle Springs Rancheria, its businesses and all other properties owned by the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians (“Tribe”) whether in fee or trust. Community Service Officers do not carry firearms.

Tribal police Officer (Sworn)

The Shingle Springs Tribal Police Department is committed to providing the highest levels of customer service to its residents and visitors, while constantly improving the quality of life that the tribal community desires and deserves. The Department’s police officers enforce both tribal ordinances and applicable federal laws on the reservation, and work closely with other law enforcement agencies to maintain a safe environment on the Shingle Springs Rancheria. The Police Department enjoys a positive relationship with its tribal community and takes every opportunity to interact and engage residents and visitors on a regular basis. In addition to sworn Tribal Police Officers, the department employs non-sworn Public Safety Officers to assist in many areas, such as crime prevention, community outreach and building security.

Sworn Tribal Police Officers enforce laws related to the protection of life and property of the Tribal members, Community members, and visitors of the Shingle Springs Rancheria. Police Officers direct and control traffic, prevent crime or disturbances of peace, and arrest violators by performing the duties outlined below. All Tribal Police Officers shall receive perishable skills and legal update in-service training as part of their regular duties.
