EcoRise seeks a self-motivated, highly organized, adaptable, and innovative individual with K-12 classroom-based experience for the full-time position of Program Manager. The Program Manager will support and grow our teacher-facing programs in multiple states along the Gulf Coast, including but not limited to Texas, Louisiana, and Florida. The Program Manager will be responsible for teacher outreach and engagement, customized instructional support, professional development design and facilitation, the administration of Eco-Audit Grants to support student-designed sustainability projects, and hosting student innovation showcases. Executive Director

The Fund for People in Parks seeks an Executive Director to lead the organization in raising private funds to provide grants that help complete projects that enhance the visitor experience in western National Parks. The Executive Director works closely with an Advisory Committee, National Park Service leaders, and private donors to identify, help develop, fund, and facilitate completion of high-impact projects.

The successful candidate will possess:

Experience making a compelling case for project support and articulating funding needs.
Familiarity with public lands management, particularly as it relates to partnerships.
The ability to work productively and flexibly with public agencies, non-profit organizations, and a team of staff and volunteers.
This is a remote work position with a preference for Southern or Northern California due to the location of advisors, donors, and parks. Business travel within the western region of the National Parks may be frequent (6-10 trips/year).

The Fund for People in Parks is a fiscally sponsored 501(c)(3) project of Community Initiatives.

Director of Horticulture

This is professional and supervisory work in directing and coordinating the horticultural functions of the outdoor gardens, greenhouses, and Bolz Conservatory. The work requires considerable horticultural expertise, staff supervision, and related administrative skills. The Director of Guest Experience will play an integral role in ensuring that Olbrich Botanical Gardens is a place where all feel welcomed to visit and volunteer. This will be done by focusing on inclusivity; improved guest experiences; implementation of new programs to improve accessibility (physical and financial); efficient and effective business, guest, and garden operations; and enhanced environmental sustainability practices.

This is responsible supervisory and professional work in development, planning, and management of guest and volunteer services at Olbrich Botanical Gardens within the City Parks Division. This position involves promoting the goals and objectives of Olbrich Botanical Garden; interfacing with 340,000 plus annual guests, members of the tourism industry, community representatives, rental clients, and volunteers to ensure the Gardens are a place for all to visit and enjoy. The work involves creating, organizing, implementing, overseeing, and leading new (or continuing) guest services, volunteer program, facility rentals, tram tours, and retail gift shop operation. This work, under the general supervision of the Garden Director, is characterized by independent judgment and discretion in planning for and directing guest services consistent with established programmatic objectives and applicable Parks Division policies.

Health and Nature Liaison - Gulf Coast Region
Texas Children in Nature Network
Texas Children in Nature Network is looking for three contract “health and nature liaisons” to engage communities to create more equitable access and connection to nature to improve health outcomes. They will report to TCiNN’s Executive Director and collaborate with TCiNN’s Regional Leaders and partner organizations.



Texas Children in Nature Network (TCiNN) is working to ensure equitable access and connection to nature for all children in Texas. We are a large network of organizations across Texas that includes educators, health care providers, nature, and conservation professionals to get more kids out into nature more often. This position will help build capacity in Texas and help TCiNN achieve the goals of its 2021 - 2024 strategic plan.



This program is part of a federal grant from the CDC to address health disparities in Texas. Through the grant TCiNN will collaborate with the Texas Department of State Health Services, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and AgriLife as well as other local health agencies to address health inequities in Texas communities by increasing their access to nature.



There is a significant body of evidence that children who spend time in nature each week enjoy significant physical, emotional and cognitive benefits. TCiNN will direct the work of three

Community Health and Nature Liaisons to engage community leaders, along with TCiNN Partners, to identify and address the barriers to participating in outdoor play and learning.



The Health and Nature Liaison will be responsible for promoting the health benefits of time outside with local health departments, school administrators and teachers, and community members. They will identify community leaders and build partnerships and alliances to elevate the use of time in nature as a health strategy.

· Promote the value of time in nature to local health departments and community members and promote the use of Park Prescriptions by local health professionals
· Support Regional Collaborative members and help lead their regular meetings with regular updates on health and nature initiatives
· Attend monthly meetings with Health and Nature partnership members
· Produce resources for partners regarding health and nature equity, including best practices that can be replicated across the state
